TV Guide online has an interview with Joss Whedon about Life After Buffy (link found via--where else?--Slayage). Sadly, Joss confirms that there is at this time no talk of a Faith-centric spin-off, because Eliza Dushku is an idiot and went with this crap thing for FOX. Dushku, babe, bad call. Either it's gonna suck and die, 'cause this is FOX; totally rock out and die, 'cause this is FOX; or suck and live forever ... 'cause this is FOX. THERE IS NO GOOD HERE.

Proj2.3: 248 words

Other work accomplished: Finished Prosser. Incorporated bits of Prosser into Hamlet chapter and Jacobethan Revenge Tragedy All-You-Can-Eat Buffet chapter. Also started the bibliography properly with the things I have read rather than the things I'm supposed to have read.

Verdict: I suppose I've really accomplished more than it feels like I have.

And you're stopping because ... ? Dinner. Then Angel. Also headache throbbing in eyeballs like bongo drums of doom. Hopefully will get more work done after Angel. [Ed.: who the hell was I kidding?]

escapism--it's better than catatonia

Well, the White House says the war has started.

I've said everything I have to say about it. I hope that it is over quickly and with the minimum possible loss of lives. I hope that things become better for the Iraqi people in the wake of this action. I hope the administration's alleged goal of making Americans safer (that is still an alleged goal, right?) is furthered rather than retarded.

And because there is nothing in the world that I can do right now about any of it, I'm going to talk about Angel.

I wish for the world to be able to stop being afraid. That's it. That's what I want. Strength and friendship and beauty and no more fear. I realize we're human beings and we're no good at that, but ... imagine all the people, living life in peace.
