Have made the small necessary corrections to the last section of the dissertation, and have fixed one of the problems with the preceding section.

It's not a lot of progress, but progress it is, and I congratulate myself on it.

And now I think I can work on fiction for the rest of the morning.

elisem was asking a few days ago about people's icons.

I didn't answer at the time, for reasons which now escape me, but it occurs to me now that the topic is ideally suited to cat-vacuuming. Which, since the short story I'm working on has gone sticky, I feel in need of.

And, since there is madness to the method dictating which icons show up when, it further occurs to me that at least some of y'all might be interested in and/or grateful for an explanation.
