Spent the night waking up every half hour to (in a really good spell) hour and a half to extract more disgusting snot from my disgusting head.
Have I mentioned the fact that I get head colds the way some people get religion?

In news outside my upper respiratory system, Neil Gaiman asks Teresa Nielsen Hayden to talk about Getting An Agent. (N.b., the one thing I think TNH doesn't mention that maybe she should is that no two authors you talk to will have gotten an agent in the same way. And mostly, we will have gotten agents in back-to-front, contradictory, and sometimes downright stupid ways. Rather be lucky than good, as the baseball players say. So listen to Teresa, not to us.)
