How not to start a morning #1307
Mar. 28th, 2007 11:23 amAs I was combing my hair preparatory to performing hairstick-fu and getting it the fuck out of my way, the comb caught in the captive bead in the upper of my two cartilage piercings and sent it--the bead, not the entire ring--spinning out into the hall.
It did not actually hit a cat, although it would have been funny if it did.
I found it again, yes, by stepping on it.
Which is actually good, because I had no hope in hell otherwise.
Although I had been toying with the idea of replacing one or both of the captive bead rings with something else, this is not the way to go about it.
The good news is that I don't seem to have actually hurt myself. I'm just unsettled and annoyed.
I don't expect the day to improve much from here, either. (p. 86 of 302.)
