So, what would the plot of To Sir, From Russia, With Love look like?

Chapter Three is up (and in plain text, too).

Today: 869 words

Which finishes Chapter 11.

Plus, the beginning of Chapter 12 is my last big chunk of salvaged text, so there's another 2,912 words joining the story today. If I want to give myself a spurious sense of progress (and I'll take any sense of progress I can get, spurious or otherwise), that makes 3,781 words overall.

92,085 words of Summerdown written. 82,915 to go. (And technically, that's 1564 words a day to meet the deadline, but I think we're gonna stick with 1600 as our goal. Because if I could maybe finish the book before the deadline . . . well, that would be very exciting and might even cause me to eat a minstrel or two.) I have passed the halfway point. In theory, it's all downhill from here.

The hippopotamus laffs and laffs and laffs.
