on the way to the Saab dealer to pick up the 1992 Saab that has had another exciting malfunction

mirrorthaw: oooh!
truepenny: [driving] Eh?
mirrorthaw: Nice little Miata.
truepenny: The silver thing?
mirrorthaw: Yeah.
truepenny: You already have a nice little Miata.
mirrorthaw: [brightly] I could use another one.
truepenny: For WHAT?
mirrorthaw: [cracks up]
truepenny: I'm sorry, I don't think I believe you.
mirrorthaw: You shouldn't.

1,684 words. Part of a possibly inevitable mid-book retrofitting. (The freaky thing is, there was space for it. Like some part of my brain knew I was going to need to come back and put a scene in right exactly there.)
