It's appropriate to today, because I realized last night that, yes, indeed, I do have to write the abstract for Dissertation Abstracts International. 350 words, or--as![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cavlec pointed out last night--one word per page. I have two weeks before the defense; it's not too early to be writing the abstract.
I hate writing abstracts and synopses. It's a little better with an abstract, because I don't have to cringe at how stupid my plot and characters look when stripped of their clothes and flesh, but I still hate it. It's much harder to write short than to write long to begin with, and, you know, if I could have written my dissertation in 350 words? Dude, I would have.
But that's today's goal. Banzai.
