papersky), and although I deeply admire Cate Blanchett, I have never been able to get behind that particular casting choice. In a weird, sideways, C18 French way, Close's Marquise is much closer to my image of Galadriel than Blanchett will ever be.
Also I like the fact that "All shall love me and despair" is a line that can be applied equally well to either of them.
