In Which We Buy A Dalek

[livejournal.com profile] kate_nepveu, you were right. A shop-vac is a very wise investment.

Again with the spackling today. Never-ending, this spackling. We also bought base coat and the appropriate tools and are hoping we'll be able to actually, you know, use them soon. And a shop-vac, which looks like a small black and red Dalek and does marvelous things.

I spackled the large front bedroom and the pantry and some of the backstairs. Mirrorthaw spackled the dining room ceiling. [livejournal.com profile] heres_luck, who is, as [livejournal.com profile] elisem would say, a Hero of the Revolution, started cleaning the kitchen. This involved moving the fridge and the stove ... which is where our friend the shop-vac enters the picture.

The movers come next Friday. T minus twelve and counting.

Glad to hear it. Once you have the walls prepped, painting goes very fast--I know it's stressful, but you sound like you're making good progress and are well on track.
