Watched La Cite des Enfants Perdus with [livejournal.com profile] heres_luck last night. I'd seen it before, but only in the dubbed version, and I would just like to say, for the record, that French with English subtitles is the only way to go. I mean it.

Of course, I got my comeuppance for swaggering about understanding the French in Le Pacte des Loups. Watching LCdEP, I understood, at a guess, one word in ten, and that was only when the adults were speaking. The kids? Not a hope. Oh, and I understood almost everything Ron Perlman said, but that's his fault, not mine. *g*

I'd like to post on why I love this movie in all its goofy, creepy-ass glory, but I don't seem to be able to articulate any of it. So I'm going back to bed and will perhaps try again later.

But if I had a petite soeur, I'd want her to be Miette.
