I am actually consigning Eleanor Prosser and David Cressy to the used bookstore.
Despite the fact that I cited them in my dissertation.
I'm never going to read them again (or even finish reading, in the case of Cressy). I don't want them. But there's a part of my brain that says, You can't get rid of those. They're schoolbooks. I have the same problem with books I read for the M.A. exam, but with dissertation books, it's worse.
This is, and I realize it, a microcosmic rebellion, but my inner gothygirl is sanguine. She says you gotta start somewhere.
