Still better than nothing, and the defense against the guilt gorilla would like to point out that this is a tricky scene I'm writing, which, hey, might be why I was stuck on it for months. Its trickiness keeps evolving, but it remains a real bitchkitty of a scene, thank you very much.
And today there has to be shopping. ::sigh:: I am only barely mollified by the fact that the shopping will include a book-store.
