You know the thing on album liner notes, where they say, X uses Y guitar with Z strings, and all the rest of it? Well, today I feel like I could do the same thing, only not with guitars.

3,600 words of "A Night in Electric Squidland" were written today with a Cross ATX using Noodler's Nightshade, in a Moleskine notebook. (Well, okay, some of those words were written in the last pages of a Levenger Notabilia, but they're too wide-ruled, so they don't really count.) Moleskine is my new hero, joining the triumvirate with Cross and Noodler's.

My writing materials please me. I am a happy geek.

Moleskin rules. There is no better notebook. :-)

Though me, I'm a Pelikan writer.

I agree about Moleskine notebooks. I love them. But where do you GET Noodler's ink? Enquiring minds would love to know.

PS I *devoured* Melusine last week, after lusting after it in the bookstore for far too long. I really really loved it -- and am very happy to see that there's a sequel. Just thought I'd let you know that this reader friended you 'cause of the book.

My Pelikan is my favorite, but the Cross and Waterman duke it out for second place. Niiice pens.

And I'm a recent convert to the cult of Moleskine myself. *g*

Good tools make light work.

Noodler's Ink is available through Swisher (www.swisherpens.com/), among other sellers, which a quick google will turn up.

Here's the Noodler's Ink website (www.noodlersink.com).

If you don't have a decent pen store nearby, you order it from one of the many lovely online retailers. A couple of my favorites are Swisher Pens (http://www.swisherpens.com/) and Pendemonium (http://www.pendemonium.com/).

I believe Pendemonium has a few exclusive FP-safe waterproof colors such as "Legal Lapis." Yes, they're really waterproof, and really FP-safe -- the ink reacts with the cellulose in the paper to become insoluble!

Thanks for the information. I had clicked on the Noodler's Ink link, but hadn't found the links to online stores (being at work, I don't have a lot of time to go through sites :-). I love the idea of the "Legal Lapis" -- I may have to indulge in a bottle. Though then I'll have to figure out how to use the bladder in my inexpensive Waterman pen.

It's a 215. *g*

Isn't it amazing how much of a difference it makes to have tooks you enjoy using?

Whatever happened with your Sheaffer converter?

(Sorry it took me so long to reply!)

It's actually cheaper to order the touchdown converter directly from Sheaffer. I am just lazy and have not gotten around to it yet.
