In case you're wondering where I am, I'm grading, that's where I am. (Unexpected gig teaching introductory Shakespeare--which is also where I've been most of the semester, if it comes to that.)

And thanks to the ever-lovely matociquala, I now have the Travelling Wilburys' "Tweeter and the Monkeyman" stuck in my head. AND WE DO NOT OWN VOLUME 1.* Aiee!

We'll see if Bessie Smith can chase them out.

"One man's meat is another man's leg" is something several vegetarians of my acquaintance, notably carandol, have been known to say in defense of their dietary habits; the satisfaction it gave me to write a scene in which the context for said comment was "if you have to kill somebody anyway, why waste all that lovely protein ?" may be less than entirely kind.
