The year I was nominated and lost I went to MilPhil and had a great time, the year I was nominated and won I couldn't afford to go to ConJose and ended up just feeling as if it was all rather distant and insignificant. If you go, you can go to the Hugo Losers Party -- not something one often gets the chance to do.
And I'm saying this entirely unselfishly, because I won't be there.
