*g* Somebody sent a bunch of fans into a bunch of pros talking about, you know, *our* concerns. Which of course overlap with fannish concerns, but don't map directly.
Basically, we object to non-slash-fans calling our work, featuring original gay characters, "slash." For the reasons I enumerated, and the ones truepenny did. We don't object to slash fans enjoying our work, and we don't even in particular object to slash fans calling what we do "slashy," though it might feel a little odd.
