One of the many lovely things about Wiscon is that for the couple of weeks afterwards, I hear [livejournal.com profile] stillsostrange's posts in her voice, complete with intonation and pauses.

Sadly, this effect fades with time.

I blame Bear for many things. Chief among them at the moment is that I have Tori Amos's "Big Wheel" stuck in my head.

I have never liked a Tori Amos song as much as I like this one. It unnerves me slightly.

I think the wasps may be contemplating rebuilding their nest in the bedroom window. The small predators with whom I share my house are most intrigued.

Wordcount has risen from 1,665 to 2,616. Another 600 words and I can stop feeling quite so guilty about slacking off yesterday.

A review of Mélusine, and one of the Fantasy sampler.

Applause for the word count. Motivating and encouraging applause, even.

Heh. It's so nice to know there are many many Tori fans on my flist. They keep popping up everywhere these days. Big Wheel is awfully sticky, but you know what's worse? Mr Zebra. *nods*

There's nothing like having a voice and inflection to go with the words you're seeing. I've always liked being able to envision in my mind hearing the person speak what I'm seeing they've typed... especially with a particularly dynamic or expressive person.

P.S. As fun as they may be to hunt, don't let your cats actually eat any wasps. They're not good for kitty.

Happily, the wasp was outside (where it can stay, thank you very much) and the small predators are indoor only.

oh yes, when Mr Zebra gets stuck in my head I'm basically done for. *grin*

I've had Big Wheel stuck in my head for huge chunks of time ever since hearing it. I love it love it love it. although I haven't yet made up my mind all of how I feel about the M.I.L.F. part of the text. still. the Beekeeper album and I never became good friends, so I'm extra glad of likeableness in American Doll Posse.

I think my favorite voice that I've been able to hear after Wiscon is Ellen Kushner's. I reread Privilege of the Sword on my way back from Madison, and having gone to her reading, it added a whole new dimension to my reading experience. I felt the same way after going to her Thomas the Rhymer show; such magic. ^_^

[I'm sorry for the comment errors!]

Ahah, you have a point. As does the wasp. The way you worded it made me think there were many wasps between two windows, and I remembered one of -my- small predators eating a wasp and getting mightily sick from it, so better too many warnings than a sick or dead family member.

That's a good way of putting it! I'm so very much the same. It's like that extra little bit of relief that she hasn't continued on with another Beekeeper that makes the new album even more wonderful ^_^
