Preparations for Operation Thunderdome

heresluck and her cats. This blog will enter radio silence at that time, normal service to resume on or after March 25th.
(Everyone who's here for the Due South posts, yes, I will most definitely resume after the hiatus. Depending on how things go today, I might even get "The Edge" watched and written up before I leave, but don't hold your breath.)
This is a complicated undertaking (it's the longest I've been away from home since 1996, when I spent six weeks in Greece), and I've decided it needs a to do list and a to pack list, so as I do not forget to pack, for instance, MY HEAD.
1. laundry.
2. find WP 12 install disks.
3. install same on laptop. consult with mirrorthaw when he gets home about why the installer does not want to play nicely with the internets.
4. remove wireless card from laptop. (Yes, going all-but-cold-turkey on the internets until the book is done. No, this probably won't be pretty.)
5. box o' stuff for Bear
5. replenish toiletries in travel kit (tomorrow, when have car)
6. go to bank (ditto)
7. go to post office (ditto)
8. LUNCH!
9. oh god. Remember to put text directory on flash drive, so as to HAVE THE FILES.
10. chop the necessary pills. Much more efficient than packing the pill guillotine.
11. send final version of "Dexterity" to Shadow Unit posse.
12. inform editor of Operation Thunderdome
13. ditto agent.
14. ditto family.
15. set up forwarding from all email accounts to gmail account.
16. burn backup CD.
17. tidy desk.
18. fold more paper cranes for Catzilla
19. print ms thus far.

3. Islandia (which seems to me like the perfect book for this occasion: enormous, interesting, but not exactly a gripping page-turner)
