The Lower City's calendrical system (which is also the system used under the Marathine kings), goes [Great Septad].[septad].[indiction]. So 20.2.4, the indiction in which Mélusine begins, is the fourth indiction after the second septad after the twentieth Great Septad (998 years) since the Ascension of Tal-Marathat.
