Today is Weird Al Yankovic's birthday. I learned this, coincidentally but appropriately, from the radio on the way to the FedEx Outpost to teach a poodle how to fly. Er, I mean, to ship the CEM of Corambis back to New York.

Happy birthday, Weird Al!

Congratulations on the CEM. :)

There are moments that I consider buying some of the older Weird Al albums on CD to replace the cassette tapes of my childhood. Being ten to me will always mean Weird Al, Bloom County, the Chicago Cubs, and British mystery novels from the 1920s and 30s.

Yes, I was a lonely child. ;)

That is just weird.

I had never seen Weird Al Y. in performance until early this morning (i.e. 3 a.m.), when my husband showed me several YouTube videos -- early Queen live shows, then followed by the Weird Al parody of a Queen song.

So I guess I saw Weird Al for the first time, on his birthday.

His schtick was well done, tho a bit repetitive.
