I have done my part to make the current cultural appropriation debate a clusterfuck, and for that I am very sorry. For what it's worth, I recognize that I failed, and why, and next time I am determined to fail better.

Which you know, which is why you said your part not "Woe! I have created a clusterfuck." I just felt it was worth emphasizing.

That said, it's good of you to take responsibility for your part and apologize for it, since so many people with rather more to do with the clusterfuckidity probably won't.

I don't know, you stuck up for a friend, had your point of view, had something to say; and a big plus, these are all permitted things. Practically *required* in blog posts ;0).

Maybe it added to the clusterfuckles, but you'd have probably felt even worse to have not said anything at all--I only know you through your blog, and not even very long at that, but I get this about you. It's all good :)
