1. Tomorrow, being April 7, is the official release date of Corambis. I will be celebrating by starting another round of Q&A, so be thinking of your questions. You can ask anything you like, although, of course, I am not obligated to answer.

2. My box of copies of Corambis came today, which means that my items for the [livejournal.com profile] con_or_bust and [livejournal.com profile] accessiblehouse auctions will not be delayed, but will ship as soon after the close of the auctions as is physically possible for me. So this is a good time to remind you about the auctions:

[livejournal.com profile] con_or_bust, helping fans of color/non-white fans come to Wiscon, auction ending April 13 @ midnight:

  • a signed trade paperback of The Bone Key; also personalized if the winning bidder so desires; current bid $25

[livejournal.com profile] accessiblehouse, helping Peter and Ericka keep their house which has been extensively renovated to accommodate Ericka's disabilities, auction ending April 25 @ noon:

This reminds me that I'm going to have to re-read the prior books to make sure I remember all the details.

WOE.

My plan to avoid getting Corambis before I finish my term papers just got more difficult. I won't be able to the Q&A relating to Corambis, and that'll drive me crazy.

I guess an author's LJ is a worthwhile marketing tool. :P

I'm about a third of the way into Corambis right now, and I have to keep reminding myself that they don't pay me to read at work. Or else I suspect I'd have devoured it already.

I just finished Corambis, and what I didn't quite say in my LJ review was that besides being generally awesome I thought it was the best book of the four. I'm looking forward to the Q&A.

Just so I am clear, when exactly can or do we pose our questions for the Q&A? Will you post an entry and we can ask then or do we send them in to you in some other fashion? Are there any guidelines? Areas to steer away from? A particular time frame you will be answering during? Sorry to be such a pain, but I am a bit new to your blog and would love to ask a question or perhaps two if there is time and no one else is asking anything. I finished Corambis and cannot tell you how much I enjoyed it. I'd be hard pressed to say which book of the four I enjoyed more.

I will make a clearly labeled post tomorrow for people to ask questions. Last time I did this, I ended up doing twenty-some posts worth of answers (you can find them all under the q&a (http://truepenny.livejournal.com/tag/q%26a) tag) over the course of about six weeks, and, yes, I answered all the questions that were asked. Other than, you know, using courtesy and common sense in posing your question, no there aren't any guidelines. Ask questions you want answers to. And if I don't want to answer a question, I won't.

I just picked up my copy of Corambis yesterday- which had been at the Barnes and Noble since the second, and I only found out yesterday because I asked, but that's something else entirely-, and I finished it today. I was that enthralled. I literally could not put it down until my eyes were so heavy the ink looked purple. And I just wanted to leave you a note here to say thank you so much for writing these wonderful, wonderful novels. It brings me pain to think that this is really the end, and that I won't be seeing Felix and Mildmay again, so I am trying not to think about it. This was the best of the series, and a wonderful way to end it. Again, thank you so much. Your books have brought me a great deal of pleasure and happiness.

Thank you for the auction reminders! [livejournal.com profile] con_or_bust is doing well but requests keep coming in--which is awesome, no question, we're up to nine people we'll be helping send--and so I'd definitely be happy if we got some more bids (or straight-up donations, see [livejournal.com profile] con_or_bust's userinfo for how) before the fundraiser closed, just to be sure that we'll have enough.

Overflow goes to the Carl Brandon Society.

I did a all-in-one-gulp read of _Corambis_ yesterday and now need to go back and read and think about it; it's chewy.

I completed my collection and ordered The Mirador, Corambis, A Companion to Wolves and The Bone Key from Amazon on Monday. They should arrive tomorrow and I'm stoked.

Thanks for sharing your work with us.
