truepennyI have been insane errand-running person today. Got my hair cut, so that I look somewhat less like I'm wearing a badly groomed poodle on my head. Got a birthday present for a friend, a just-'cause present for another friend, and two books, one on the labyrinth as a meditation tool, one on the Tarot, both research, as it happens, for The Project. Went to the bank. Picked up a prescription (which represents a small triumph over the many-headed monster Bureaucracie, as Spenser would probably have called it) and other assorted nostrums. Lobbed another turnip *ba-crunk-thunk-WHOP!*. And bought more stamps. Bought necessary articles of clothing. Bought milk. Did a load of laundry.

The gross was probably more like 200, but 155 of those were a false scent. *sigh*
Yoga tonight, after which hopefully some of the knotted-up tension in my shoulders will have dissipated. That, anyway, is the plan. And then maybe I'll be able to figure out why my plot-hounds are running in circles, whining piteously, unable to tell me which way the fox of the story has gone. (I really don't like letting go of metaphors until I'm sure they're dead.) Tomorrow I must have converse with my dissertation, so I would really very much like to at least get INTO this damn scene tonight. *put-upon sigh*
