(Sorry this is a month or so after posting, just catching up with my LJ after a time without internet and had to comment)
I would so read that. A million times. And give copies to everyone. Oh my God that sounds awesome.
Out of curiosity, do you know why did it form in your head as a YA novel? Like, certain elements of the story, or the writing tone you want?
