My story, "After the Dragon," is live at Fantasy Magazine--and also as a podcast, read by Sarah Tolbert.

The story comes, in part, from [livejournal.com profile] elisem's sculptural necklace, "After the Dragon, She Learned to Love Her Body," and that is, in part, why it is dedicated to her, although there are so many other reasons I can't even list them.

That is a stunning story that I intend to go back and appreciate in more depth later.

That's beautiful. It's a healing story, and I will hold onto it for sharing with people who need it.

Wow. That had the effect on me that the best Zenna Henderson does: awful things happen, but we don't let them beat us. I wish I'd had this story before my life turned upside down--OTOH that's OK, because I know I'll need it again someday.

Oh! I remember seeing the first line of this story in one of your memes, and I couldn't wait to read the whole thing. Now I have, and it was lovely.

Also, this is the first time I can remember sharing a name with a character in a short story. Many novels, but not many short stories for some reason. So thank you for the new experience, unintended though it was. :-)

So I realize this is 2015, but I figure praise never gets old.

Gosh, this was good. Damage, recovery, and lucent, lucid prose. Thank you.
