And, of course, I'm crawling around through the mental plumbing trying to figure out what subjects I am being that stupid about. And pretty generally failing to find them (I can find some confirmation bias here and there easily enough, mind you; no claim of perfection, but I can't find the areas I'm wingnut crazy and impervious to facts on).
