Well, I'm quite prepared to concede that there are spiritual or inner truths that don't correspond to provable assertions. I hold some of them myself, even as a raging atheist and a dedicated empiricist. (I just own my intellectual inconsistencies rather than trying to rationalize them - six impossible things before breakfast, etc.) The issue, as noted elsewhere in this comment thread, is sloppiness in the use of the word "truth" in our language, combined with the absolutism of some worldviews.
