More books!
Apr. 15th, 2003 04:49 pmHL and I were smart enough not even to bother pretending we weren't going to spend all our store credit as soon as we had it. Which is good, because we would have been sorely disappointed in ourselves.
Crispin, Edmund. The Glimpses of the Moon.
Donoghue, Emma. Kissing the Witch: Old Tales in New Skins. If you like fairy-tale retellings, this collection is highly recommended. Now I don't have to borrow HL's copy any more.
Farmer, Penelope. Charlotte Sometimes.
papersky's recommendation re: the miseries of boarding school.
Vonarburg, Elisabeth. Reluctant Voyagers. Transl. Jane Brierly. Elisabeth Vonaburg was GoH at WisCon 25 and gave a fantastic speech. Truly, the best GoH speech I have yet heard. This is the first time I've seen her books in a used bookstore (i.e., where I can afford to pick one up purely on spec).
Waite, Arthur Edward. The Pictorial Key to the Tarot. I'm researching the Tarot for The Project. Also for The Second Son, very likely. Also just in general.
