Kliban cats and the crazy green print
Jul. 30th, 2010 09:27 pmFor those who are interested in the Kliban cat quilt (ETA: unexpected progress after posting! another picture below the cut!):

Steps one and two are complete. I pieced the crazy green print fabric into a strip and have sewn one piece of Kliban cat fabric to it. Next step is sewing the other piece of Kliban cat fabric to the other side of the strip.
(If anyone's wondering, yes, I'm doing this all by hand. I don't actually own a sewing machine, and I'm more comfortable hand-sewing anyway. Sewing machines perturb me.)
ETA: Step 3 completed--which I was not planning to do tonight, but there it was and there I was, and the Brewers were losing abysmally to the Astros on the radio.

So there you go.

Date: 2010-07-31 03:48 am (UTC)I've quilted since my mid-20's and I do love it. There was a time when I pieced wedding ring quilts and did elaborate applique quilted pictures.
I wish I had more time for quilting, but writing and day jobs don't leave me much.
love to eat them mousies, mousies what I love to eat...
