I would think that, when there's a horse's nose in your ear, it's rather difficult to do anything but pay attention to the horse. Which I suspect is the goal. Horses (and also cats, and dogs, and pretty much anything else that periodically, Requires Scritching Right NAO!) are diabolical in that way.
