Mostly, these are from the various places I keep quote lists: notebooks, computer files, my own brain. The exceptions are The Wind in the Willows and Amphigorey, where (a.) the sense is in my head but not the exact words, and (b.) once I started extracting quotes, I wouldn't be able to stop.
