How interesting--this is one of the differences between UK and US practice I didn't know about.

(Our federal grand jurors are required to keep the proceedings a secret, though for free speech reasons, grand jury witnesses cannot be forced to keep their own testimony secret ; there's no such restriction on trial jurors, though, once deliberations are over.)

(Apropos of Ms. Climpson, you may be interested to know she appears in what is so far a very good Snape/OC WIP, Brave New World.)
