Today is definitely a mixed bag. On the plus side, excellent lunch courtesy of HL. On the negative side, another rejection letter. I've decided I just need to be kind to myself about them and accept the fact that they throw me for a loop. If I don't get any work done today, that's all right, and I'll be back on my game tomorrow. I'm not upset--and I've been upset by rejection letters, so I know the difference--I'm just ... off.
So I've been switching around my icons a little. They're here if you want to look. All Buffy, though not all Buffy. Perhaps after the series ends, my interests will actually diversify. *g*

obsessedmuch, whom I don't know but who made my beautiful vamp!Buffy.)
Tonight there will be new Buffy. Tomorrow I will lob out three moreturnips stories. It will all be good.
At the moment I'm kind of bored and sleepy (tho' sadly not sleepy enough to nap) and gently glum and achy (menstrual cramps, doncha love 'em?). If I get bored enough, I may actually write something.

Date: 2003-05-06 04:10 pm (UTC)I've got seven out, three to go out, one that's waiting for a beta, and one that's waiting (much like the story you were posting about earlier) for me to get the guts to face it again.
Re: turnips!
Date: 2003-05-07 06:00 am (UTC)I've got several in the "close-to-finished" state--either they need a couple of important scenes I haven't figured out yet, or they need a rewrite, like "The Princess on the Rock." I will often get inspired right around the time a good potential call for submissions shows up.
"Princess" was written for a specific anthology that didn't get off the ground, and isn't suitable for a lot of others, but if another one comes along, there I am.
