comments: This is one of the old stories I was talking about earlier. I went through and lifted out all the good bits of prose from the story, an associated and even less effective story, my notes, etc. (hence the file name). Then I made some new notes about what I think the story really wants to be. And then I started writing.
I have no idea if this is going to go anywhere. But I'm pleased that it even wanted to start. It's going to be a much darker and more unpleasant story this time round, which is not a surprising development. My stories do not get more cheerful in revision.

Date: 2003-07-05 08:45 pm (UTC)Actually, Truepenny, the things that most helped with *my* multitude of painful wrist problems, aside from soft squishy things to rest my hands on at the computer, was these beautiful heat things from the drugstore, called ThermaPatch or something, that you strap around your wrist or above your elbow or across the back of your neck or anywhere else you're having pain-- and it just melts away. It's really beautiful.
I'd mail you a box. Actually, there's been a little bit of a House of Geeks here's luck / truepenny package idea forming in the back of my brain, I don't know if you'd be interested (or, alternately, if the any of the books I own are things y'all don't already have...).
