verdict: considering how hot and wretched I was all day, that's pretty good.
comments: have hit my first stumbling block, the plot--i.e., there ain't any. The trouble is that I know what I want the story to do on the emotional and psychological levels, but I haven't yet figured out how to trope that into action. Dammit.
