Like [livejournal.com profile] oursin, I am a Linguistic Thinker.

Truly, this does not come as any great surprise.

(Take the quiz here. It's apparently part of Dr. Branton Shearer's research, which is also kind of cool.)

I got:
You are a Musical Thinker
Musical thinkers: Tend to think in sounds, and may also think in rhythms and melodies;
Are sensitive to the sounds and rhythms of words as well as their meanings. Feel a strong connection between music and emotions.

Like many musical thinkers, Leonardo loved to sing, and had a fine voice.
Other Musical Thinkers include Mozart, John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix [how do they know this?]

Careers which suit Musical Thinkers include
Musician, Music teacher, Sound engineer, Recording technician [whups, missed out on all those!]

Where does it tell you what kind of thinker you are? I took it, but it never gave me an individual result, just a canned paragraph about "The Renaissance ideal."

The Renaissance ideal

The leading thinkers of the Renaissance were not just experts in their own field. The renaissance scholar was expected to master all branches of knowledge.

With his insatiable desire to know everything, Leonardo da Vinci is often held up as the ideal Renaissance man.

Hmpf. We wants our result, we does.

Scroll down?

That Renaissance ideal thing was the first screen when my results came up. The actual results were underneath.

Tried that. Nothing down beneath.

I think it just wants to mess with my head.

I'm inclined to agree with you.

That's very odd.

Perhaps we're the control group, and you're the real subject of the study?

I did the test again as there seemed to be no way to access the page with all the different types without doing so (and I wanted to find out what they were), and ended up with this same no result found. Some kind of intermittent blip in their system? (?Overloading)
(As far as I know my answers were the same and I haven't made the transition to Compleat Renaissance Allrounder, like wot Leonardo woz.)

Apropos of absolutely nothing, that's a great hedgehog.

Hedgehog

Thanks: it's cropped down from a rather strange print of the hedgehog with and without its prickles. A completely nude hedgehog is something for which I feel the world is not yet ready. (And no-one would recognise what it was, either.)

Linguistic thinker also, wholly unsurprisingly.

Was amused, however, to see "librarian" listed as a congenial career.
