Chapter Six is done, at 9,031 words, because half of it is now Chapter Seven. If a chapter is a convenient chunk of narrative, then no matter how you define "convenient," once you get over seventy pages, it just isn't.
I can't tell whether the spurious feeling of accomplishment is more encouraging than the knowledge that it's spurious is depressing.
