truepenny552 words on a short story that's been waiting very very patiently for my dissertation to get out of the way. Have got my protagonist from point A to point B; now have to figure out what point B is going to do with him.
I'm having these weird unfocused guilt feelings about writing fiction. More evidence to indicate that a sizable minority vote of my brain doesn't believe I actually handed my dissertation in.
