I'm tired of listening to me complain.

Date: 2003-11-02 11:11 am (UTC)I sometimes think it's possible that we exaggerate the extent to which our emotions are leaking out and impinging upon other people. I once apologised to partner for being ratty, which he hadn't noticed. This could of course mean that my normal demeanour is indistinguishable from rattiness, or (I hope, more likely) that although I was feeling intensely ratty it wasn't anything like as apparent in my words and actions as I thought. Though I've also had people attribute to me negative emotions which were not actually there.
