No, not really. But the line wandered into my head and stuck there.

On LJ this morning.

[livejournal.com profile] arcaedia has an interesting discussion going about what part of writing writers find hardest.

[livejournal.com profile] nihilistic_kid has scathing things to say about the self-serving stupidity of Publish America. (I refuse to link to PA itself, but more context can be found here.)

[livejournal.com profile] jess79 propounds a theory that explains the vagaries of Elizabethan men's fashions.

Me? I seem, much to my own consternation, to have started another novel. I honestly thought it was a short story, which just shows what I know.

Part 1: 7,200 words
Part 2: 2,100 words and counting

That seems to be well on its way to novel-hood.

Short novel, I think, but yeah.

Part 2 clocked in at 4,900 words, and I have the first 800 words of Part 3 (of 5), so our total is approximately 13,000 words and counting.

It's a little like being hit by a truck.
