oursin, I think this is a very weird list. Eight women, one of whom gets listed twice. Token African-Americans only. (Their Eyes Were Watching God, hello?) Lots of those mid-century two-handed gunfighters of machismo whom I so very deeply dislike. And just some very strange choices.
