Reading Nick Gevers' almost frighteningly positive review of "The Wall of Clouds" in this month's Locus gave me the strength of will to (a.) look at my director's comments on the two partially revised chapters of the dis, and (b.) ask heres_luck to help me go through five 350 pg. mss-worth of marginalia from my various committee members.

Because she is seraphic, she said yes.

That's all the strength of will I have for today. I'm going to go do something else now, until this edgy, anxious feeling recedes and I can pretend to be a real human being again.

Graduate school is not good for one's mental health.
