As part of our Intermittent Johnny Depp Film Fest, heres_luck, Mirrorthaw, and I watched Once Upon a Time in Mexico last weekend. Which, because I am a morbid little fuck, I loved.

Last night, I dreamed about El Mariachi (smolder, Banderas, smolder!), and made the discovery that my subconscious thinks Antonio Banderas looks like Adrian Paul.

And, you know, I was going somewhere really interesting with that (... you would have been fascinated. Possibly even moved.), but now I have absolutely no idea where.

Let this post stand as a testament to the endless delights of Short Attention Span Theater.

I caught the last half of ¡Átame! (a.k.a. Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!) on the Independent Film Channel the other night and was reminded how utterly delightful it is. Pedro Almodóvar appeals to the fucking twisted romantic in all of us. ::sigh::

Johnny Depp was on Inside the Actor's Studio this weekend (I only watch TV at my folk's house, as I don't have one). It was an interesting interview, and a reminder of what a truly lovely and handsome man he is. I then watched Edward Scissorhands on another channel, and the contrast was startling.

Antonion Banderas? Oh I love his voice. *le sigh*

I thought Once Upon A Time In Mexico kind of lost narrative momentum in the gaps between the stories it had to tell, but I was drooling enough over Depp and Banderas not to mind too much.
