brisingamen's beautiful quilt has inspired me, or perhaps I'm just in a domestic sort of mood. But anyway, I have actually made progress towards making progress on the quilt I've been allegedly working on for, oh gosh, a year now?
The Kliban cat comforter is completely disassembled, and the cats are in the wash. I now need to figure out how I'm going to get the cats into quilt squares and what the heck the rest of the quilt is going to look like. But, hey. Progress is progress.

Date: 2004-02-22 08:45 pm (UTC)This fall, I cut it down to a manageable size (about 5 feet square), backed it, batted it, and did a quick-and-dirty quilt. I think all of this recent effort took the length of the extended Lord of the Rings DVDs, on successive weekend afternoons, and that was it: done.
I was a little amazed (and guilty) that it was finished so quickly, considering how long it had languished.
