Had a meeting with my dissertation director yesterday and the following conversation this morning.
HERE'S LUCK: So how'd it go?
TRUEPENNY: It was frustrating, upsetting, and depressing, but a success.
HERE'S LUCK: If that doesn't sum up the life of a graduate student, I don't know what does.
Am currently staring at the Hamlet chapter in a state of flat despair. Because the work it needs is tedious and soul-destroying, and my motivation seems to have taken off for Cuernavaca.
Bah.
Albatross!

Date: 2004-03-04 01:12 pm (UTC)Disney's making a movie of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Right now they say they're releasing it Christmas 2005. The fella that directed Shrek is signed to direct this.
Here's an article Forbes ran about it. (http://www.forbes.com/business/newswire/2004/03/01/rtr1281879.html)
Does this scare you as much as it does me?
