Because I finally have a program with anti-aliasing.

Those of you with graphical skills will probably critique the hell out of it anyway, but I'm fine with that.

*adore*

That picture is so dynamic, so huge and tempestuous and cataclysmic. You've cropped it to focus strongly on her imprisonment. I really like that.

Can you explain what you mean by "anti-aliasing," for those of us who generally pay little attenion to the graphic arts?

Um, personally, no, I can't.

It's something to do with the way text looks on-screen, but since my eyesight is so bad I can't actually see it, I take it on faith alone that it matters.

Perhaps (she says hopefully) one of the people who DO know will be kind enough to speak up and explain.

It's what makes text (particularly letterforms with curving lines) look smooth rather than pixellated and jagged. In the case of white text on a black background, it works by turning some of the pixels around a letter from black to various shades of gray.

This makes me wonder about what "100% sick of shadows" would look like, which is an all-new thought about a very familiar line, thank you.

Ah, the lady
