From yesterday:

Kekropia: 573 words

Comments: Again with the allegedly "going to bed" at the time, a little more leisurely, though, since a thunderstorm asserted itself about an hour and a quarter before I'd normally be going to bed, close enough that Mirrorthaw said, thoughtfully, Maybe we should turn the computers off.

I seem to be in a handwritten-only phase, which is exasperating because there's really no good place in the apartment to sit and write, especially if one wishes to be unencumbered by the attentions of enterprising quadrupeds of the feline variety. But, hey. Words!

Verdict: Not bad.

When I was working on my masters project, Merlin (one of those aforementioned enterprising quadrupeds of the feline variety) would keep me company by sleeping on my left arm. Which was amusing when he weighed less than a pound, but as he kept getting heavier and heavier, it made it harder and harder to type. Thus, if one were to delve back through the manuscript, one would find sections of the original draft in longhand. Those were written when Merlin was sleeping on my other arm.

Clearly we will have to make sit-and-write arrangements at The New Domicile. Hopefully the loveseat and/or new-to-us chairs will work for that sort of thing.
