There were a number of factors conspiring against me (if factors can conspire--oh wotthehell I'm anthropomorphizing sourdough-oatmeal bread fer cryin out loud), but the fact remains the bread came out remarkably unbreadlike and it makes me grumpy.
Next time I will circumvent some of the conspiring factors and see if we can't do a little better.
