Kekropia: 400 words
2nd draft of short story: 165 words

So yesterday I wrote 460 words on Kekropia and 2,901 words of this short story. And I'm forging ahead today. View halloo!

Bad dreams last night. [livejournal.com profile] coffee_and_ink was indomitable in the fight against the zombies.

Is the proper plural of hibiscus hibiscuses or hibisci? (hibiscen?) Because I bought two of 'em yesterday--and learned in the process that there is a hardy as well as a tropical variety of hibiscus. Many many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] heres_luck for transporting awkward sprawly foliage in her car.

Lewis & Short say "hibiscus" comes from Greek "ibiskos," so all bets are off anyway. I think "hibiscuses" is perfectly valid when speaking English. :) The Latin plural is "hibisci."

Well, if it's ibiskos, it's ibiski. So hibisci. Good then.

I think its hibiscuses.

The hardy sort come in a colour range of white/blue/mauve/pink while the the tropical sort comes in red/orange/yellow/white.

I personally found it extremely reassuring.

There was research involved. You were fantastic.
