Dreamed that ...

... [livejournal.com profile] buymeaclue was writing children's musicals ...

... the protagonists of my current book were investigating the ruins of an ancinet archipelagean culture ...

... the Wizard of Oz had been highly influenced in his architectural style by Dale Chihuly. I was explaining this to someone, but since neither dreaming nor waking can I remember Chihuly's name, I was trying to Google for it and kept getting pointed to a set of extensive annotations for Moby-Dick instead.

I'm a little alarmed by the fact that my subconscious knows about Google.

I'm a little alarmed by the fact that my subconscious knows about Google.

More than once recently I've woken up and been a mite bewildered not to have the Google window in the top right of my visual field where it belongs.

Recently I dreamed we were arguing about interpretations of The Martian Chronicles, I think regarding whether or not Bradbury was trying for parables or well-rounded characterizations, and it was very distressing because some part of me kept thinking, "But this is wrong, [livejournal.com profile] truepenny might disagree with me but she wouldn't be so condescending when doing so." Then I realized I was dreaming and it made more sense.

Eek. I certainly hope I wouldn't.

My *waking* mind doesn't think you would.

No one should be held responsible for the enormities their subconscious perpetrates in dreams. Goodness knows I'd be the first up against the wall. *g*

>since neither dreaming nor waking can I remember Chihuly's name

It's such a relief that I'm not the only one who can't remember his name, though I don't think I've ever been at a loss for it in a dream.

The last dream I remember having featured lots of sweet ghost children(one dark-haired and dressed like Sarah Crewe, and three ringleted red-heads of various ages in lots of ivory lace), a scary dark spot in the living room of a house I don't live in, an evil hall closet, and a possessed kitchen. It was sort of a Green-Knowe-meets-Coraline-in-Amityville dream. We resolved the living room dark spot but hadn't taken care of the rest before I woke up.

I'm a little alarmed that my subconscious knows about the difficulties of making it to the final exam on time.

Everybody's subconscious knows about that. It's, like, required or something.

It would be more alarming if Google knew about your subconscious. I mean, in some ways it would be useful to get things from the cache, but in other ways, not.
